He stood atop the rock with his arms oustretched and knees slightly bent. His face wet with sweat, glowing in the light of the fire.
His feet moved apart until they were at the position ten to two.
He began to arch his back and slowly move around the circle painted into the rock.
Was he growling or croaking?
'Magnetic electric, charge! Charge!'
'Magnetic electric, charge! Charge!'
From her viewing platform on the opposing hilltop she could see these strange movements from this strange man on this strange summer night.
The megascope pointed towards the sky at an angle not many would consider wise.
Pointed it was straight towards the Child of the Sun.
The meddlesome mystic atop the rock clearly acted with devious intent.
The yowling and jeering grew louder as the transit quickened.
Looking back into that great glass eye she saw a sight fit for no fit mind.
Now it was time. The crafty bastard had failed.
'Lyra!
Consider the egg,
A gift!
Distant Giant,
Your dark winds blow!'
Her shrieking filled the sky.
The creatures of the wood offered their own:
'Pharasma!
Ibra!
Neptune!'
'Idari,
the Renewal!
Teotichuacan,
Pyramid of the Sun!'
As quick as the the call rose it died.
A silence for the ages filled the air.
She collapsed, grinning.
Not many successes could she call her own.
But this.
This was something she would take with her forever into the beyond.

Aquilus took a decade off and came back like he never left! Bellum I is yet another piece of beautiful melodic black metal mixed with classical and folk that makes you wanna dance naked in a forest somewhere. The natural sounding production increases the atmosphere heavily. Griseus is a monumental black metal album for me but Bellum I isn't far behind. Can't wait for II!

La traversée du désert n'aura pas duré quarante jours mais quatre longues années... Avec Панихида, Батюшка renaît enfin de ses cendres et, bien que désormais seul (ou plus exactement entouré de deux chanteurs), Христофор accomplit un miracle. Il s'inscrit dans la continuité de Литоургиiа avec un black metal orthodoxe qui nous convie ici à une cérémonie dédiée aux morts. Sa vision est englobante : les mélodies, la gravité et le silence font toucher le paradis ; l'agressivité est luciférienne.
